Yes, Jumanji. Yes, I know it doesn't seem to belong on this list, but i have always considered this and the other two movies as horror movies. Kid's horror movies, but still horror. There's vicious wild animals and scary monsters galore, and the bad guys are always creepy and menacing. Plus it starts with people getting suckef into a game and they're unable to escape unless they complete a quest and defeat the monsters. This movie is a sequel to the second movie in the series, which is a total revamping of the original movie. I loved the original Jumanji since the first time i saw it (and it has giant spiders in it, now how horrific is that?) My friend who watched the movie with me even said during a scene where they're being attacked by wild animals, "I can kinda see why you'd consider this a horror movie now." That's all i need. Bring on the evil game movie!
This movie is a direct sequel to the revamped second movie "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle." Here, our intrepid heroes have all graduated high school and are now in college, until a holiday brings them back home and desperation spurs one of them to jump back into the game and of course the rest of them go in to save him. Soon Bethany, Martha, Fridge, and Spencer are reunited in the world of the game, and once again they have to complete a mission before they can return to their normal lives. Along the way they will face many dangers, hungry and crazed wild animals, a psychotic bad guy, and his evil henchmen. Will they be able to complete the quest and save the land of Jumanji once again?
i didn't like this movie as well as i liked the first snd second in the series, but i still liked it. The actors do a good enough job with their roles, and as before, seeing Jack Black play the part of a teenage girl is worth the price of admission. There are some scary snakes in this movie, and some ostriches that seriously need to chill. The big bad guy in this movie is a homicidal viking called Jurgen the Brutal, and he adds a lot of menace to the proceedings. There'snot much else to say about this movie, except that I enjoyed it. It was a fun, scary ride.
