This is one of the After Dark Horrorfest movies, so I wanted to check it out, because in my experience, those movies tend to be pretty good. This one came out in 2007; so it's been out for awhile now and I have somehow managed not to watch it over m6 years of watching as many horror movies as I can. Unfortunately, I looked it up online, and the movie's only has an 18% score on Rotten Tomatoes, which means people didn't like it much. That kind of dampened my excitement of watching the movie, but I decided to give it a chance anyway. Here goes nothing.
Three sisters find out that they have a grandfatherthey never knew about and that he left them a motel in his will. They'reexcited to possibly sell it and make a lot of money. They decide to check the place out first, so they go on a road trip to see tthe place and scope it out. Unfortunately for them, the place is home to some crazed killers. Soon the girls are fighting for their lives and finding out that in a little backwoods town like this, people tend to take care of their own and shun outsiders. Will the sisters be able to survive the trip, or will they find themselvestrapped at the bottom of Lake Dead forever?
These people will have sex ANYWHERE. Literally anywhere, they don't even try to hide or anything. Exhibitionists, the lot of them. And the gratuitous sex scenes stand out more because the plot is so thin and there's not much character development, so all we know about the characters is that they apparently like to have sex. That not the only problem with this movie. I have a bone to pick with the filmmakers as well. I guess no one ever told the director of this movie that movies are scarier when things are kept in the shadows. He shows the killers right away and the cameralingers on them while they're stalking their prey. Most of the acting is over-the-top and exaggerated so it's hard to relate to the characters and most of them are unlikable anyway, so that makes the movie tough to Watch. Honestly, if you'veseen the "Wrong Turn" movies, you'veseen this all before and the movie doesn't really have anything new to say. I advise you to watch oneofthose movies instead.
