The first "Terrifier" movie made such a success that it was inevitable that there would be a part 2. I heard mixed things about this movie right after it was released. Some people thought it was good, gory fun, some people thought it was garbage. Such is life. I don't know which side I'll fall on once this movie is over, so I'm just going to watch it and see.
This movie has a little more plot than the first one did. Art the clown is back, and this time he has help: a girl clown who shares his obsession with torturing and killing people. What a match made in heaven (or hell depending how you look at it). This movie exists to be gory and gross. i heard the filmmakers wanted to try to top the first movie in gore, and they sure succeeded. Back to the plot. A teenage girl and her brother are getting ready for Halloween, but strange things keep happening to them. The sister keeps seeing Art the clown around every corner, and eventually her brother is seeing Art too. The brother tries to warn his sister that something horrible is going to happen this Halloween, but she refuses to listen even though she has been having foreboding premonitions too. Will she and her brother survive the night, or will they become Art's latest victims?
I heard that this movie was aiming to be the gorriest movie ever made, and to that end, there are buckets and buckets of blood making an appearance. Art the clown is up to his old tricks, and the movie tries to keep its sense of humor too. There’s a scene where art the clown literally rubs salt in a victim's wounds. Haha, very funny. The teenage girl in this movie is named Sienna, and she's a likeable enough character i suppose, though it's annoying how she doesn't listen to her brother when he comes to her with his fears about something terrible happening on Halloween even though she'sbeen having similar premonitions. Sienna's friends are abjectly unlikeable, and they do things like secretly drug Sienna's drink without her knowledge, so i was waiting for them to get killed. It took too long for some of them.And her mom is a jerk too. Actually Sienna and her brother are really the only likeable characters in this movie, so it was kind of tedious waiting for them all to get killed and see what happensto Sienna and her brother, and if they manage to kill Art the clown (not that he will stay dead, he didn'tafter the last movie and I've already heard there's a "Terrifier 3" coming).In the end, despite the unlikeable characters, this movie does have a better plot than the original, so i guess i liked it better. Bring on part 3!
