2025 October Horror Challenge #17 "Sinners"

I don't think it's possible for me to be more excited for a movie than I am for this movie. I've been waiting for this movie for over a year now since I first heard about it and I was so excited that it was coming to theaters and I really wanted to see it in theaters but that didn't happen. I did however get to see that it was streaming on HBO max which is a gift cuz I get that for free with my charter Oh I just called it charter it's not charter it's spectrum They change the name Good Lord I'm stuck in the past! But I am extremely excited to see this movie and I think that I really want to be focused and paying attention to this movie so I'm going to try really hard to give my best review that I possibly can for this one. "You keep dancing with the devil, one day he's going to follow you home." Sage advice. something tells me they don't listen to him though, or the movie would be two minutes long. Famn there's a lot of drama going on. we're halfway through the movie and there's no vampires or supernatural creatures but there's a bunch of drama and racism and terrible life choices and I feel for these characters and I don't know what to do except sit here in fear and loathing because I know it's going to get worse for them because this is a horror movie! Reverse tacism! they don't like white people. Hahahahaha i amuse myself. and talk about ATMOSPHERE. this movie got so quiet and so tense for a few minutes that I didn't realize i was holding my breath until the movie got loud again and i screamed. Ahem. of course the black people were doing fine until the damn white people showed up. Ain't that always the way. i think the moral of this story is "stay away from white people." at least that's 5he message I'm getting so I'll just be staying away from white people because the movie told me to. "Long ago the man who stole my father's land forced these words upon us. God, i hated those men, but the words still give me comfort." Damn, preach it, brother. you ain't said nothing but a word. Cool special effects at the climax though. the whole movie is cool. Sidenote: dont turn this one off when the credits start to roll either. like 35 minutes of movie are left. WTF os up with movies today having long-ass cut scenes after the credits roll? well, tegardless, i loved this movie. it's the first really great one I've watched yet this year. well done.
