2025 October Horror Challenge #14 "Night Swim"
i eas curious to see this movie after it first came out, until I discovered that it was about a haunted swimming pool and then my desire to see it dropped to below zero. But I'm giving it a chance today so we'll see.
Why do the fsmilies in horror movies always run to buy the house with the horrific past and the haunted ass pool?
and now the swimming pool ate the dog. look what you did, people. i hope you're happy with yourself.
now the pool tried to eat a little boy. and the wife wants to leave, but the husband can't leave because he's got some kind of psychic bond with the creature in the pool, so the whole family has to stay.bthanks a lot, jerk.
ok, the backstory of what's different about the pool is actually creepy. it had me yelling at the screen. well done, movie.
once the action gets started it's not bad, really. i mean the people keep doing stupid things, but that's to be expected in a horror movie. if the characters are smart, the movie would only be 5 minutes long.
i have to give this movie credit. seeing parents, the ones who are supposed to protect their kids no matter what, being willing to do things like the characters in this movie do...it got under my skin. it was creepy. and i didn't see the twist at the end coming (mostly because i didn't think the characters in the movie were smart enough to think of doing that) and I really liked it. so overall, i really enjoyed this movie a lot more than i thought i would. bonus.
