2025 October Horror Challenge #19 "Clown in a Cornfield"

I know I know I read the title to and I went clown in a cornfield oh yeah because we're fans are so stupid They won't be able to tell the difference. see typically when a horror movie advertises what it's going to be about so blatantly in the title of the movie The horror movie is not good witness my example of this which is a movie called "Barn of the Naked Dead" sounds like I'm making that up but I'm not making that up that's a real movie and it does contain a barn, and it does contain naked and dead people and that's about all I can say for that, the title is very descriptive. But people have been saying that "Clown ina Cornfield" is good, so I really want to check it out and see if it's as good as everyone says. I give horror a chance because I love horror I happen to love clowns stalking people through corn fields Yes so I'm hoping that I enjoy this movie because horror's what I do this month so let us see if we enjoy it, all right? The opening sequence is really great. I love the setup of the party with the stupid teenagers or college students or young people whoever they are I'm used to teenagers being played by 30-year-olds so I'm not sure exactly how old these kids are supposed to be but they're having fun in their partying and an old barn with an old cornfield then they get stocked by a killer in the cornfield and people get killed and it's creepy and fun so I'm hopeful because this scene is good, it gives me hope that the rest of the movie will be good too it's always good to have a good opening sequence in a film like this. unfortunately for the characters in this movie, The Clown does not stay contained within the cornfield. The clown branches out instead of waiting for victims to come to him he goes out and he kills them So really a more accurate title for this movie would have been "clown in a small town killing people," but that title would not have worked as well as clown in a cornfield, so I can see why they didn't name it that. Some cool kills and good gore. nothing i haven't seen before in other movies, but well done. Lots of clown mayhem onscreen. i hope they had people dress up like clowns and run around in the audience while this movie was in theaters. that would have been awesome. The plot twist is really twisted. Have I seen it before? would you believe me if I said yes? I've read a book with a similar plot twist before which is weird and considering that it's a very weird plot twist for more than one book or movie to have I'm surprised that I don't think this is a rip off of that I think people just independently came up with the same idea which is strange but fun it's a whacked out idea but it does present kind of cool on screen. it's a fun, messed up twist. overall, this movie was indeed as good as everyone said it was.
