2025 October Horror Challenge #16 "VHS Halloween"

This is the latest installment in the VHS franchise. these movies are hit or miss, but so far most people seem to like it. we'll see. the wraparound story is pretty good. want some Lovecraftian cola? it will only cost your soul. the second story started off annoying, then got good, then got annoying again, but it rnded on a good note, so i declare it good. the third story is good but yucky. and I'm pretty sure that's not how you run a police investigation. it doesn't seem like it would be very effective. the fourth story is gross and i never want to eat candy bars again. the fifth story is good. i was impressed. it's pretty gory and sadistic and fucked up. the sixth story is good too. I'm sitting here watching it and i feel a sense of impending sread in my heart and it's freaking me out. i actually get to like these characters and i don't want anything bad to happen to them. unfortunately, this is a horror movie, so it's best not to get attached to any of the characters. and hoo boy, was i ever right. there's lots to dread in this story. remind me not to play any creepy old records before i have a haunted house this year. yeesh. overall, this was solid. i forget which one it was, but i gound one of the VHS movies to be terrible. this one is much better than that. sidenote: don't get antsy and turn off the movie once it ends. watch the end credits of this one, trust me.
