This is one of those scary movies aimed at kids. It's based on a fairy tale from Finland about an evil witch who steals the sun, plunging the world into freezing darkness. The people band together to fight the witch and get the sun back and save the world. I'm sure this works better as a story you tell your kids than as s movie. Most fairy tales and campfire stories do work better than way. They're meant to be passed along that way, so when people try to make them into movies they look silly and weird.
An army marching to a witches castle and playing harps until the music puts the guards to sleep and let the warriors break in probably sounds cool in a story, but it looks weird in a movie. The whole movie comes across as silly and weird, and not in a good way. It's a shame, because I was hoping this movie would be fun, but I'll instead it just made me think I was high. Maybe you're supposed to watch this movie when you're high. It might make more sense that way.
