This is another kids Halloween movie, this time purporting to tell the legend of how trick or treating began. In the past, robbers roamed the woods, stealing gold and possessions from travelers, but when they stumble upon a little girl in one of the carriages they rob, she comes to live with them and teaches them the meaning of friendship, and to ask for treats instead of stealing them, which evolved into modern day trick or treating.
The movie is silly but really cute. The cover doesn't do it justice, the animation in this movie is really cool. It harkens back to the old fashioned animation of the Halloween specials I watched as a kid, which is a fun throwback. I like anything Halloween related, and I can imagine having fun watching this movie with my kids one day.
