This movie tends to get a little on the...not exactly boring side, but on the slightly tedious side. It's not that it's bad, because on the contrary, it's a lot better than I was expecting it to be, but since nothing that happens is really explained fully, just kind of hinted at, it becomes something of a chore to keep watching when we know we're not going to find out what the hell is going on.
A young man down on his luck moves into a room in a boarding house where he never sees any of the other tenants (except for a creepy old lady). Strange things happen, like the TV turning on by itself and pictures seeming to move, and things disappear from his room without any real explanation. He also hears scratching at his door at all hours of the night like something is trying to get in. He can't get any answers from the creepy landlord, and the creepy old woman who finally gives him the explanation isn't much help either. We know right from the beginning that things probably aren't going to end well for this poor guy, so most of the movie goes on without giving us much to root for. It's not a bad little ghost story, and the actors do a good job with what they're given, but it could have been a lot better.
